The NEJE DK-8-KZ Laser Engraver has me (and the commentators) were pleasantly surprised and since I needed a break from my 3D printers, it was time for a new Laser engraving machine. I’ve got me this time, for the NEJE DK-BL1500 Laser Engraver chosen, since it is, in my opinion, three (more or less) sensible improvements are: There’s an App for Printing (“well”), a built-in battery (cool) and the Laser has a power of 1.5 W instead of 1W (we will see).

Before it goes on follows a fat, fat warning: This and other laser engraving machines are not a toy! 1500mW damage the retina irreversibly in milliseconds! Unfortunately, it is not collected, how it is used as a “European customer”, really trust. The iOS App has not a single review (at least Version 1.3, which suggests a bit of care) and the Download page for the Android App looks like a semi-legal Stream page.
The virus scans show nothing suspicious, so I have the Apps quickly, without problems, installed and it show serious (*bada bum tsss*) differences between the Android and iOS App. The iOS App is very Spartan.
With the Android-App you can change, e.g., line widths, texts/Emojis to add or by a library of beige motifs were browsing.
Summary: the Android App can do much more, but is in the operation (and appearance) is still creepy. The editing of self-made images is jerky, the templates don’t want to print anyway, the Combine is exhausting.

As the NEJE DK-8-KZ, the Software is “OK”. Not a masterpiece, but in the end the Workflow looks eh as follows:
- Image editing software of choice to start
- Wish, reduce to two colors
- Bit not readjustment (what the Apps can properly)
- In a JPG or PNG, convert to (BMP, TIFF & PCX should probably work)
- NEJE Software, image import, and subject to transfer
This Workflow worked for about 10 prints every time. The advantage compared to other Laser-engraving machines – the App fizzles, however thus (for me). What is, however, a plus point, is actually the built-in Li-Ion battery with 6000mAh. You had to stop the DK-8-KZ is always in electrical sockets-close, so I was able to take the DK-BL1500 for the testing time. Whether this remains, however, a plus point, or the Laser remains the Engraver always at a point in the hobby room … we’ll see.
The quality of the engravings

We say it this way: if you don’t need the Apps and the mobility, is the NEJE DK-8-KZ Laser Engraver better. The difference between 1W and 1.5 W of power in the material-no difference.
